Finding a New Web Host

Now everybody like a bargain and web hosting is no exception but as for most things in life the old saying that “you get what you pay for“ is as true about web hosting and anything else.

With web hosting cutting back on your monthly fees means you could very well find your self with slow loading pages , periodic down time or server problems and that make cheap web hosting very unappealing.

So where do you start? Often people turn on their PC and Google “Cheap Web Hosting” only to be swamped with page upon page of sites all proclaiming to be the best or the cheapest. Spend some time looking using key search phrases like Web Hosting for Beginner Webmaster and such like but don’t commit at this stage. Ask around, ask your friends which web host they use and try to find out if they have ever problems with their current or previous hosts.

Also take time to check forums and read through the comments online, remember that these people could have a vested interest in building up their own hosting service or trashing the oppositions’.. I would read a lot and take an overview. Discount the ones that appear to have loads of problems and then start looking at what’s left with half an eye on the price..

Now you should have narrowed it down to a much smaller field of options. Next think about your market place, if you are looking to sell a product into the UK for example maybe you should be looking at a UK host provider. The same is said if you market is predominantly in the US , stay at home , it does matter….

So now you should have a very small list of options, check out carefully one deal against another ensuring you have sufficient Disk Space , Bandwidth plus anything else you going to need.
